Sunday is always a roast dinner. The leftovers are then dished up and used for tea tonight.
I got up very late this morning and didn't have time for breakfast. I do not feel well and so typically everything today is just proving to be irritatingly difficult - e.g the cat is injured and won't take its meds, keys not left where they should be, tree branch fell off blocking gate - just low level minor stuff that adds up and makes everything hard work. Its clearly going to be one of those days.
I've got back in and sat down for a brew and have eaten a plate of yesterdays leftovers. I obviously now won't have lunch and will probably have a salad / sandwiches for tea. I will still cook for everyone else as normal.
DF(ather) has come in and caught me and is having a right proper moan about now there not being enough for tea despite him still having a plateful available and DSs food is already in the slow cooker.
DFs off on a rant about healthy eating (I am supposed to be trying to eat healthier) and how now it will be weird to eat by himself at lunch despite him often snacking and eating alone and is banging cupboard doors looking for a snack that he can eat instead.
I've suggested he eat his leftover tea now as his lunch and we'll both have something else tonight but have been given the death glare
So AIBU to have my tea for lunch?
