DS1 hates DS2

DS1 is 8, DS2 is 4 months old tomorrow. DS1 was a bit jealous at first but then we started including him in things (getting a clean nappy for DS2 for example) and things seemed to be ok.

DS1 has started saying how he hates him, when we asked him why, he says because he took DP off of him and DP doesn't love him anymore (DP isn't DS1’s biological father), DP does try to do things with DS1, but everytime he's holding DS2, DS1 asks him to do something with him.

DS1 does see my ex, but only once a month and he doesn't really do anything with him when he's there!

Any advice will be appreciated as we really don't know what to do

He doesn’t hate him, he is jealous of him.
I would talk to him and acknowledge that you understand how hard it is adjusting to a sibling and tell him how when a new baby comes you don’t split the love you have your heart gets bigger so you can love both of them the same amount. I would plan a day for him and DP to do some fun things together that he enjoys away from the baby.
