Anyone paid four weekly?

As opposed to monthly, it feels frustrating as though you’re not being paid as much as monthly even though you are, it’s just laid out differently. I used to be paid weekly which was great to have that consistent stream of wages coming in and not have weeks to wait, however it felt like I didn’t budget as well as a result. What’s everyone’s preferred way of being paid?

I’ve had loads of jobs so have been paid weekly, fortnightly, every 4 weeks and monthly. Every 4 weeks was probably my favourite. I like getting a big payment at once, but it can be hard to stretch a monthly pay if the month is longer than usual.
I had a job once than paid a week early because of Christmas but they didn’t move the January pay date. We got a Christmas bonus but mine was swallowed up by car insurance so it was a tough 5-6 weeks waiting for the next pay.
Moving from weekly to monthly pay sucked as well, especially since I just missed the cut off for the previous pay date so had to go 5 weeks on a week’s wage. Good job I had savings and a credit card to get me through.

For budgeting with 4 weekly I would suggest 2 bank accounts.
1 for payments and spending and one for bills. When you get paid transfer the money into your bills account.
I’ve been doing this since I used to get paid weekly and even when I moved over to monthly pay I’ve kept at it.
All bills are paid on time

My husband does. I get paid set day each month. Have to make sure main direct debits go out my account. Council tax I pay over the phone each time he is paid save a big bill going out of my account. Works our ok as normally pay it off by xmas. Sometimes I like it ie when he gets paid say 2 weeks after me I feel we are richer which probably arnt. If he gets paid same time as me ita, strange. Obviously harder to budget if only salary coming in every 4weeks.

I currently have 2 jobs, one is weekly, the other (main) is 4 weekly.

Bills have always come out of a different account, funnily enough it's called the bills account. DH and I have put our share into it when we've got paid and it's run itself.

DH was 4 weekly for 31years but now he's retired his pension is monthly.

Previous jobs have been 15th of the month, 26th of the month or last working day.

4 weekly and 26th of the month have been my preferred options.

I prefer weekly but can live with monthly.

My partner is paid 4 weekly and I monthly and I would much rather be paid 4 weekly! Drives me crazy when I have a 5 week month (or god forbid 6 week like in January) as even though I know the bills are all covered other things like food shop/petrol/going on a day out need to be more carefully budgeted for.
