DS already refusing school!

Son is 8, in a few weeks he'll be going back to school, he has ASD and hates back to school after the summer, this time will be even worse as he struggled a lot towards the end of last term, and refused to get dressed most days.

Tomorrow, we'll be going shopping for school shoes, which is always a battle so I told DS to prepare him and he just keeps saying no school etc.

Does anyone have any advice??

Does he have to go back? Is he getting hit support he needs at school, have you looked for more suitable provision?
My DS is 13, he barely attended school by the end of last term - even if we hadn’t arranged for him to start a more suitable school in September he still wouldn’t be going to back to his old school as it was far to damaging to his mental and physical health.
