To ask where you shop for bras?

I used to shop at Debenhams but obviously they're closed now.

I wear a size 30D which is a bugger to find in most shops. I haven't managed to find any nice ones anywhere else.

Where do you shop? Looking for inspiration.

Also where's good for measuring now Debenhams is closed?

I measure myself. M&S had me as a 40C but I'm really 36GG!

Bravissimo
, excellent company and choice, even still have high street shops but once you have found a style that fits their website or telephone ordering is excellent

ChainJane · 18/08/2021 11:43

Amazon or LoveHoney depending on what sort of thing I'm looking for. Just measure myself.

I buy from M&S and bravissimo both online and do the mumsnet bra intervention method for measuring.

Fluffyandsilly · 18/08/2021 11:44

Brastop! Often recommended on here and I've not bought bras from anywhere else for years.

They have a wide choice in smaller back sizes and big cups which is great for me as I'm a 32ff/g. They usually have the matching knickers if you're like me and want to buy sets.
As well as the standard black, white, nude bras they also stock a lot of colourful, pretty styles at cheap prices if you like that kind of thing.

I sometimes buy in a couple of sizes and keep the best fit. I've found returns good.

Oh and I've measured myself using the boob or bust method also often recommended on here:

Yep, I agree with Bravissimo. If you don't have one near you, it's worth the journey to get a fitting and work out which style (e.g. plunge, balconette) works best for you. Then you can order online for future purchases.

SkepticalCat · 18/08/2021 12:13

You can still buy Debenhams stuff online. That's what I have done recently to buy new bras. I know my approximate size (sister sizes) so ordered several in each style that I wanted to try at home, then returned those I didn't want to keep.

This. Sitting there in a dressing gown while the assistant does all the running around and knows what style will suit your shape is well worth it. If cost is an issue, just buy one bra from them and look for the same style online, eg from Brastop or during sales/using voucher codes.
OhWhyNot · 18/08/2021 12:18

I would go to an independent bra shop or bravissimo and find a good fitting bra. Different makes are slightly different in size but you need to find the bra shape that suits you so it’s not just about size

Bravissimo are good at fitting but I can’t stand their sales pitch (I’m overweight and curvy not amazingly curvy 🙄)

Now I buy on line from bra stop as I know what bras fit well and I stick to them

I like m and s for underwear.
