To think he shouldn't have got DS’ phone repaired?

Yesterday, DS 16, threw his phone in anger as the phone was annoying him apparently. The phone was fine although the screen was very cracked, I told him he'd have to wait to get it repaired, but today, DP took it to a repair shop and got it repaired!

Aibu to think he shouldn't have yet and he should've made DS wait?

Perhaps the alternative would have been DS pestering DP to use his devices in the meantime? That would piss me off no end.

I agree OP. At 16 he knows the consequence of throwing the phone is the phone breaking. I'd have made him save to get it repaired himself. I could earn its repairs by doing extra chores. How's he going to learn?
