Could this be skin cancer? Extremely anxious

Posting here for traffic.

This morning I noticed these patches on my back around a mole and the surrounding areas. I’ve called my GP and sent in a pic, but still waiting for a call back.

Has anyone has anything similar?

Those patches look like hives. Are they itchy?

AmyFl · 16/08/2021 16:49

I don't think that the patches are related to the mole.

Bingomangoes · 16/08/2021 16:49

I had something very similar years ago on my shoulders/back it was a harmless fungal thing, easily treated with an anti fungal cream. Good luck, hope yours is too.

Royalbloo · 16/08/2021 16:49

My d niece had this and it wasn't cancer. Get it checked anyway x

Looks more like a skin condition or rash than cancer. You'd be unlikely to get lots of different areas of skin cancer all appear at once.

WildflowerWildfire · 16/08/2021 16:50

No they’re not itchy at all. Hopefully it is just something fungal 🤞🏻

Does look fungal, perhaps.

Toomanyradishes · 16/08/2021 16:52

My dh gets something that looks the same its fungal and easily treated, fingers crossed its just that x

It looks fungal. You need anti dandruff shampoo.

icedcoffees · 16/08/2021 16:54

It looks like a rash or a reaction to me.

Ohsugarhoneyicetea · 16/08/2021 16:55

Fungal, I picked that up from a gym once. You need a ketoconazole soap to get rid of it.

JanisJ · 16/08/2021 16:56

Looks like ringworm.

Have you got any canesten thrush cream?

Bonmonkhouse · 16/08/2021 16:57

My DD had something like this once and get it every so often. I think it's from wearing tights. Do you carry a rucksack? My DDs wasn't fungal (we tried the creams) but also wasn't anything serious. However, I can't remember what it was!

I’ve two that look like that on my torso under my boob. Been there several months, just figured I have some blotches there now and hadn’t really thought about it any more than that. Interesting to know they might be fungal. Might try the shampoo thing and see if they go away. Thanks OP, hope it’s nothing for you
