I work 2 different jobs, through choice. I have my main job that I do around 3/4 of the time and another job I do 2 days a week usually.
I enjoy the variety of this, I like both careers and feel that I have the best of both worlds.
However it seems that people don’t understand it or even look down on it.
I’ve been asked when I’m going to get a ‘permanent job’, had one lady tell me that she hoped I’d eventually decide which career path I wanted to go down, people ask why I’m doing the extra job, is it because the first one doesn’t pay enough etc. All sorts.
It’s surely not that uncommon and because one job is through an agency, some people don’t see it as a ‘serious’ or real job. I mean who cares what they think, people judge you on absolutely everything but I feel like sometimes they can’t understand something that’s not the traditional setup. Anyone else ever had this sort of stuff?
