To be worried about the drive through safari?

Anyone been?
Do the animals really wreck your car? Kids are begging to go but I'm worried about loosing a mirror!
I know we can walk a different route but they really want to drive... just risk assessing before booking!

This thread is reminding me of the Car Share safari park episode. Hilarious.

IMO the funniest episode ever.

So we have just left the monkeys and are in the huge queue for the lions 😬 We're at a standstill!
So. There were hundreds and hundreds of monkeys and they were all over the cars. THEY ARE SO NAUGHTY!! By some luck ( and at the kids disgust) they didn't touch ours (I was a nervous wreck!!)
There were car parts everywhere! We saw 4 cars lose a window wiper and 2 number plates go!
Sat in the car friendly bit for 30 Minutes belly laughing at the monkeys escapades!
One thing, I was constantly on edge incase someone ran over a baby baboon! 😵‍💫

Another here who has seen the monkeys pull stuff off at Longleat. It seemed to me they settled and targeted one or two cars rather than all. I recall some cars taped down their wipers before they went in- which put the monkeys off a bit. Its a great thing to do... but not without risks.

I've just read through this thread and was hoping for an update - thank you and glad you got out unscathed!

We went on the bus at Longleat as I wasn't prepared to have my car vandalised.

Knowsley, £800 worth of damage that the insurance wouldn't cover! Little horrors ripped off the aerial and used it to gouge the roof and the side panels.
Then worse, they had sex with her spread across the windscreen and him taking her from behind. My Mother in the passenger seat was dying of embarrassment and the kids were crying that the monkeys were hurting each other.

I went to Knowsley and I drove through the safe bit it was clearly sign posted. You just drive along the bit with the monkeys and you can see them jumping on other cars but they can’t get yours. I presume other ones would have a safe route.

Doesn't this kind of suggest the animals don't have enough stimulation and space to meet their needs properly?

The baboons, or monkeys are little buggers but you don't have to go through their enclosure
