Has anyone have bacterial vaganoisis in pregnancy?
I was prescribed an antibiotic called metronidazole, I cannot take these I started to take them and had to stop they were making me feel very sick.
I've been in contact with my gp, they have asked me to contact my midwife to see if the gel is ok to use in pregnancy, I cannot get in contact with midwife, I've rang a pharmacist they have said that there are risks to the pregnancy, and it's up to my gp if they want to prescribe me the gel.
Has anyone taken this gel while pregnant??
I also will add im 13+3 days

IVe never had BV but I use this BV medication to prevent recurrent thrush. multi-gyn.co.uk/products/multi-gyn-actigel/

It works by keeping Vaginal Ph at a Healthy level where Non-healthy Bacteria and fungal infection cannot survive. I’m pretty sure it’s safe to use in pregnancy But check with pharmacist.

You can buy over counter but I buy it in bulk from amazon. I use a medicine syringe to apply about 2.5ml which I find enough to help without being too messy.
