I’m making a cake to be eaten on Sunday. I’ve decided to go for Italian meringue buttercream.
Can I make the buttercream tonight and then ice the cake on Sunday morning? Or will it totally deflate / go soupy?
Also, once the cake is iced does it need to be eaten immediately or will the icing hold it’s shape / consistency for a few hours?
