Looking for a night away on the coast this week. I know this is a tight year for finding accommodation, but according to some bellend this constitutes a one bed apartment.

It's an F-ing shed!

At the end of a trying day, it tipped me over the edge! 😱😢🤣

2 Bathrooms? Where??? YANBU!!

Olny · 09/08/2021 20:52

Looks like glamping to me. The site probably has two shower and toilet blocks.

Hopeisnotastrategy · 09/08/2021 20:53

I'm guessing there are some "facilities" somewhere? Maybe a couple of buckets and some sheets of the Daily Something hung on a hook?

Apartment size 6m square Grin

It’s cute, but what are they charging for it?!

DeflatedGinDrinker · 09/08/2021 20:54

Looks shit

AntiSocialDistancer · 09/08/2021 20:54

Horrendous! Probably great for festivals though and nought else.

Gingernaut · 09/08/2021 20:55

Does that mean there's a bucket under each bed?

Barnowl25 · 09/08/2021 20:55

What are they charging per night? I have a couple of sheds in the garden....

DismantledKing · 09/08/2021 20:55

What a dump

neverknowinglyunreasonable · 09/08/2021 20:55

Nice. Is that The Dorchester?

Tohaveandtohold · 09/08/2021 20:55

That’s so funny. I guess the whole facility has 2 bathrooms and that’ll be shared between all the ‘apartments’

HollysBush · 09/08/2021 20:55

Probably thought they were funny.

bigbluebus · 09/08/2021 20:59

I was looking for accommodation for a short break the other day. There were a surprising number of properties available on Airbnb that were little more than sheds in back gardens. Needless to say we didn't book one

Hopeisnotastrategy · 09/08/2021 21:00

@Gingernaut

Does that mean there's a bucket under each bed?
🤣🤣🤣

You may well be right.

Well if glamping means ‘glamorous camping’ then that’s not glamping anyway

Many would prefer to stay in a hut than a tent or tipi or whatever.
No matter what that isn’t glamorous in any way shape or form.
Doesn’t mean it wouldn’t do for many. Looks like a beach hut.

FakingMemories · 09/08/2021 21:02

In their defence, some accommodation booking websites will only let you select from a list of pre-set choices when listing your accommodation. Sometimes you have to choose between “hotel room”, “apartment” and “villa”. So you pick the closest option. It’s more of a chalet but if the website didn’t give the owner the option of listing it as a chalet, what can be done? At least they included pictures so you absolutely know what you are getting, or not getting.

seasonalremarks · 09/08/2021 21:03

It's like a coffin. Who would want to pay to stay there. Just put a tent up, a lot more fun and airy.

hollyhocksarenotmessy · 09/08/2021 21:14

Glamping 2021 = scout tents and sheds.

Hopeisnotastrategy · 09/08/2021 21:18

@Barnowl25

What are they charging per night? I have a couple of sheds in the garden....
To be fair it was from £56 per night, so I wasn't expecting The Ritz.

It was more than someone would have the sheer effrontery to offer that to anyone. The chutzpah. The brass neck. Rarely has my flabber been so ghasted.

Shuffles off thoughtfully to consider the 56 day rule for temporary sites this year and consider rotting shed and other areas of the garden

Glamping 2021 = scout tents and sheds.
Spot on.

Not glamping, but you're not paying glamping rates for it.

Leftbutcameback · 09/08/2021 21:42

These are like they have at Latitude. Wanted some ridiculous price for them! I would have paid it if I could have taken the shed home with me!

HeronLanyon · 09/08/2021 21:44

I’ve been in tents in gale force storms where I would have given a pint (yes a whole pint !) of blood for that dirty shed.

hellcatspangle · 09/08/2021 21:47

There are people offering manky tents in their bloody garden for over fifty quid a night. The world has gone bonkers. At least this "apartment" might have a chance of keeping you dry 😂
