Aibu to be angry but not surprised. Already wealthy men make millions for almost no effort. Investors lose. It’s as dodgy as hell but apparently breaks no rules. Only Dennis Skinner seemed to care. This country is as corrupt as fuck.

Maybe put in Telly Addicts or In The News?

Or maybe give an inkling as to what the programme is about?

ISpyCobraKai · 09/08/2021 20:39

I'm not sure what you're saying.
Could you explain?

LemonRoses · 09/08/2021 20:41

Absolutely

RubyViolet · 09/08/2021 20:46

Davis Cameron totally milked his Downing Street connections , $10 million for “part time work “ over two years. Connecting a crooked company with his cronies. Panorama have done a thorough investigation into Greensill, the company. It was a sham.
Cameron either knew or didn’t care.
This cronyism has to stop !

Blossomtoes · 09/08/2021 20:49

It really is a toss up as to who’s the worst PM of all time - Cameron or Johnson. Greedy, venal bastards, the pair of them.

Tony Blair could teach all of them a lesson 😳😔
Blossomtoes · 09/08/2021 20:52

Tony Blair could teach all of them a lesson

He really couldn’t. He can be blamed for many things but not this kind of corruption.

Well I think it's pretty obvious what the thread is about.

Panorama. Anyone who has watched it can comment as they'll know what it's about.

I tend to catch up at weekend because I have to go out and get ds from swim training.

But I love panoramas ability to get to the bottom of things.

David Cameron we are all in this together hardy ha and the under-deserving poor.

Arsewangry · 09/08/2021 21:09

It's nauseating isn't it. Pigs in troughs comes to mind.

Tony Blair has done many things, but shilling for a Ponzi scheme isn’t one of them. Greedy Cameron had his snout in the trough.
the80sweregreat · 09/08/2021 21:24

I love how people jump onto anything Labour did years ago the minute the tories are criticized!
I saw it advertised, but I didnt watch it.
Won't change anything though ; people will still vote for them next election ..

DynamoKev · 09/08/2021 21:52

The “but Labour were worse” comments are utterly pathetic - I didn’t make this a party issue. In fact it’s rather sad that Labour can’t apparently see any political advantage to cleaning up the filth.

Fascinating, wasn’t it?!

I suspect that this may be more the beginning than the end of the affair.

Blair is still richer than Cameron, though, and I don’t think that is purely due to his financial acumen.

It’s not from profiteering from a pandemic either.

Euan is richer than his parents. They’ve invested wisely and made nearly £5 million on their Cadogan Square house. They get around £300k severance and security and office expenses still. Their country house has increased by about £6 million. He also has business advisory roles that are lucrative.

He didn’t have any of those contracts when in office and there is no hint of corruption as the Tory’s all have.

RubyViolet · 10/08/2021 06:52

It’s on BBC breakfast news now.
The company collapsed this year. Investors left out of pocket.
Cameron sold millions of his shares in 2019, and the insinuation is that it was known that the company was in financial trouble.
Cameron lobbied to get taxpayers cash.
And got Covid emergency, money/ loans.
We could still have to pay upto £350 million tax money to them.
Of course, Westminster enquiries came to the conclusion that Cameron broke no rules….
He definitely has questions to answer. He was essentially lobbying the British tax payer.
Pressure is growing for the serious fraud office to speak to Cameron.

chocolatemademefat · 11/08/2021 01:51

As long as there’s no viable alternative to the Conservatives these things will happen again and again. Their cronyism and dodgy deals are sickening while so many people are living in poverty.
