I think DP has been in a fight

DP went out with a few of his friends, when he got back, he was quite drunk. He went to bed and he left his t shirt on the floor and I noticed it had a bit blood on it. His knuckles also has a few cuts on them.

He isnt normally a violent person but I don't know what to think!

Possible. He may have fallen over too

I suppose all you can do is wait until morning and ask him.

How is his face?

If his face is unmarked, and he's blind drunk, I'd say it's far more likely he's stumbled or tripped over something and scraped his hands trying to grasp something or break his fall.

OP, leave a pint of water and a couple of paracetamol next to him. He might be grateful for them when he wakes up.

My dh came home with scrapes on his head and a bruise. He’d been drinking with his best friend (who we rarely see) and they drank too much. Dh had a stumble but his bf had an even bigger bruise and scrape 🤦🏼‍♀️

I'd agree with the falling over thing. Doubt he's been in a fight.

He is still asleep so I can't ask him yet. He does have a small mark on his face though

OP he may have been defending himself from someone else who was violent. There are some random nutters out there - if you have the capacity to defend yourself there's nothing wrong with that and you can be a very non-violent person but still be called upon to have to defend yourself.

If it’s just his hand/ maybe he’s punched something? A window?

I'm not sure if he could've been defending himself, if he was in a fight, I would be shocked though as he isn't normally violent.

Maybe he tried to split up a fight.

My DP once looked like he'd had a fight, complete with marked face and marked hands.... And blood.

He had been in a fight..... With a garden wall and a Bush 🤣

He's also been known to have a fight with our bedside table

(DP isn't a good drunk in case you couldn't tell! He's an all or nothing in 20 mins type, one min he's sober as a judge the next he's blotto and in bed snoring!)

My DH is non violent and came back once with blood pouring down his head, some guy just came up to get and punched him in the face, my DH didn’t even see it coming 😂

Ended up getting £120 compensation from the guy, who was very apologetic so I assume his not normally a violent person either but had too much to drink, these things happen sometimes.
