Toddler contact lens

Posted on here so I could hopefully get a quick reply. My toddler has just picked up my empty contact lens packets,(which I stupidly left on the side) so the blister pack daily ones, it had left over solution in there and he has just licked it all 🙄 I tried to google to see if it’s toxic but don’t know what’s in it?! Does anyone know please ?

Optometrist here - just sterile saline- don't worry- it will be fine

It will be harmless saline solution. No need to worry.

Mine is basically saline. Doesn't have preservatives. Does it say anywhere what's in it?

Oh thank you thats good then glad I posted !! Didn’t want to sound dramatic I just couldn’t see what was in it so got abit worried.

My son did exactly the same thing when he was a toddler! I phoned the nhs helpline and they said it was fine.
