Neighbours burning rubbish

The sun is out for the first time today and I’ve just had to close all the windows because the neighbours have started burning stuff. Smoke is blowing everywhere. I can smell and taste it.

I’m sure it’s not illegal but AIBU to think it’s not very neighbourly behaviour?

Personally I’d be embarrassed to do that but maybe others wouldn’t feel the same.

I agree, but regrettably there is little one can do about it unless it becomes habitual when it can be raised as a 'nuisance' with the council.

Unfortunately some people only think of themselves.

It's anti social and selfish - have a word with them.

As a pp said, regrettably (and incomprehensibly) it is not illegal. It should be, it's dangerous at worst and anti-social at best. I have no idea why it is allowed.

Use a tip or the garden waste service .
