What happens if you test positive and don’t have the app?

Do track and trace call you with the details you have for a PCR test and if so how long does it usually take them to make contact?

Test and trace are supposed to contact you and take details of close contacts in the 2 days before symptoms or positive test if no symptoms

I don't have the app. Test and Trace phoned and texted me within hours of receiving my Covid-positive PCR result, and took me through a detailed load of questions re who I'd seen in the 48 hours prior to my symptoms starting (luckily it amounted nobody other than the people I live with!)
