Period cramps but no period.

I've posted this elsewhere but had no replies so asking here as there's more chance of it being seen.

All day today I have had quite strong period pains and lower back ache. I feel like I should be having a monster period but I'm not.

I'm on progesterone only pill - desogestrel and haven't had a period since June. I'm not pregnant as I've just done a test to rule it out and it is negative.

I have anxiety so now I'm beginning to freak out, I've made the mistake of googling and I'm now feeling stupidly anxious. The cramps were quite strong this morning then eased off, now they're back again 😕

Has anyone else experienced this before? Looking on my period tracker I would be due a period in 3-4 days if I was having periods.

I had this on my first post-jab period! Feeling like it was going to start for about five days including cramps, but nothing. Then when it did arrive late it was quite heavy on the first day and painful. Now had my second jab so awaiting my next period with joy...

Well today is day 3 of cramps and no period. I feel rubbish and I'm getting anxious about it all. Reading the replies here though helps as it does seem to be common that we're experiencing cramps but no period after the jab.

I also had this shortly after my second Covid jab! Felt like bad period pains. It was around the date of ovulation too so could have been ovulation cramps. Feel fine now (few weeks later).

Same here. My period was due the day of my first vaccine. I got the cramps but nothing else. I had a bit of spotting the day of my second vaccine, but that seemed to stop it. I still haven’t had one.

I don't recall having period pains after my first vaccine. Seems to be very common though judging by the replies on here.

I bled for two weeks a couple of weeks after my first jab and became anaemic. I had no period this month after my second jab. You could usually set your watch/calendar by my menstrual cycle. Try not to worry. Follow your GP advice and see how the next few weeks play out. Definitely yellow card it all though. It's really important women's side-effects are recorded.

Trying to contact my GP surgery today has been a nightmare! I did an online request asking if I could book swabs and do a urine sample, lunchtime came and no response so I called them. Was told they were busy and to wait for a return call when I was near the front of the queue. An hour and a half later they called back, apparently I was near the front of the queue. I then spent 30 minutes holding to be cut off due to high call demand 🤯

So I'm not a yea here closer to being able to get tested and I go away tomorrow.

The cramping has eased today but it's still there. I'm wondering if a period will just make an appearance shortly and the vaccine is the cause of all this.

I literally pressed send on that last post and the doctors surgery called me!

The random period pains are back after two weeks of no cramps.
I haven't had a period still either.

I'm feeling a bit anxious about it now. I'm going to stop taking my pill to see if that forces a period to start and stops the random cramps.
