We provisionally online reserved a property and as we received no confirmation and received nothing via post ,we booked somewhere else now three weeks later they are saying that we owe them the full amount?

Who with (ie owner or agency) and when for?

e-mail back immediately, explain that as you can no confirmation from them you assumed it wasn't confirmed and went ahead and booked something else.

Short of suing you, I don't see how they are going to make you pay up.

What does the terms and conditions say?

cestlavie · 28/11/2007 13:50

What's the website? I'll have a look for you. For a contract to be binding, there has to be offer and acceptance of the terms by the parties so it's likely to depend on the terms and conditions (as to whether provisional reservation constitutes acceptance on your part - I'd suspect not but it's possible).

Did you enter your card details at the time to pay a deposit? Because I think that would be a commitment.
