I need help!!
My 5 year old is going threw a phase I've never had to deal with before and I don't know what to do. So here goes.
I had to stop my son putting bbcc on his tablet because he was using bad language, since doing this he is constantly telling me he is saying naughty words even when he aint its the first thing he tells me when he wakes. I've tryed my best to ignore it but it's constant. I know it's an attention thing but I really don't know what to do to stop it. It's driving me insane!!! Please help mummies

Just be consistent in ignoring. He will soon get bored.

I'm trying my best but he don't stop saying it till I reply I've told him I don't care because I didn't hear it. It makes no difference.

It's really hard to ignore I know but ignoring is the best thing. They soon get bored. If he says it just change the subject to something else. Often easier said than done. But they do get bored. My son has been though very similar phases.

I will try keep persevering. I've tryed changing subject he just says did u hear me mum.

Just reply, ‘oh, right.’ in a very bored voice. Then show lots of interest in other things he’s doing.

All children go through awkward stages. I know you say you've tried to ignore it but keep on ignoring it. If he asks if you've heard him say yes thanks and carry on whatever you're doing. If he says he used bad language when he hasn't say ok. He'll get bored eventually. He'll learn very fast he can't use bad language in school. Just ensure he doesn't hear it at home and he'll soon forget about it

Ignore it and him completely until he stops. No reaction at all.

Ignore and praise new (useful) words and encourage conversation as much as you can. Flowers

Like pp says acknowledge it in a dull way and move on.

"That's a shame, now would you like green or pink t shirt today?"
"Oh right, I'm going to make breakfast, shall we have toast or cereal?"
