Fed up of having obsessions

I highly suspect I have ASD, I'm just fed up of having obsessions, my latest is with Mumsnet I'm always on it, I can't go an hour without being on it when I'm at home. Why can't I just be interested or enjoy something why does it end up being an obsession.

Hi, Im the same. I get highly obsessed with things. Could be for a few months or weeks then I move onto something else and totally lose interest in the original thing. It drives me mad. I would be interested to hear what pp have to say about this.

Social media is addictive which could be feeding into the habit too. Can you try something like putting Chrome (or whatever browser) in a folder on your phone? The extra click would make it harder to mindlessly scroll MN.

I have an addictive personality. I move from one thing to another and it does become frustrating. I can't advise you on what to do, I'm addicted to my phone and I'm trying to figure out how to put the damn thing down. There could be worse things though I suppose.

It's also with music, I constantly will listen to a song for weeks and then get addicted to a new song and the cycle repeats

In a bit like this. For a while I was obsessed with Instagram and would scroll endlessly in bed. I but the bullet and took the app off. Haven't missed it. But.....I'm now on Mumsnet for longer!

I do the same with songs. Look up the lyrics, watch the video play it loads.
