I tested positive for covid last Saturday. Isolation ends on Tuesday. My partner also tested positive and isolation ends on Tuesday. My child has got a temperature today so we have tested him. Whether he is positive or not, does that mean the whole family (I have another 2 boys) has to isolate for another 10 days. We can't catch again surely as double jabbed and just had Covid. I understand the other 2 boys could catch as they haven't had already.

No your isolation is not extended if others test positive while you are still within the original isolation period

I wasn’t sure but read this on the gov website

Anyone with COVID-19 symptoms or a positive test result should stay at home and self-isolate immediately. This is because you could pass the infection on to others, even if you don’t have symptoms.
www.gov.uk/government/publications/covid-19-stay-at-home-guidance/stay-at-home-guidance-for-households-with-possible-coronavirus-covid-19-infection

It makes sense that this wouldn’t apply to you since you and OH have already tested positive. Worth calling the COVID hotline to clarify.

It’s all so confusing…
