Conditioner that doesn’t leave sticky residue?

Hi

I have fine straight hair and the ends are dry and frizzy and knot easily so need to condition them but all the conditioners I’ve tried leave a sticky residue no matter how long I spend trying to wash it out. Any recommendations? Thanks

I found washing off with one quick shampoo wash helps. Hair are still conditioned, bit much lighter.

Is it the conditioner though leaving the residue? I get this and I live in a hard water area...you need a clarifying shampoo which you use to wash your hair with twice, then I find any old conditioner is fine just a little used on the ends

I use a blob of argan oil on damp hair and comb it through before drying. Never sticky and hair is glossy and soft.

Have you tried rinsing with water plus a little cider vinegar? It’s called a clarifying rinse.
