Hi all. Please help, before I set the house alight and move out!

There is a gap underneath the door frame in the kitchen and I've had these horrible sandy coloured eggs laid. Some dark looking debris and I think I saw something wriggle 🤢 Can anyone please help identify what they are? And any idea how to get rid? I've now hoovered them up.

The stuff on the left is ant powder, which I put down last week after seeing some eggs laid here. Worrying, because I thought that would kill them off and lo and behold, here they are again!

Please help me identify these gross bug eggs in the kitchen!!

I was thinking carpenter ants?

Carpenter ant eggs look like rice krispies . Are they eggs or wood shavings. I would cut that piece of rotten wood back or remove it completely and see if there is a nest
.

It looks more like the damage woodlice do when they're eating semi rotten wood, so just bits of old wood rather than eggs?

It's a rented house and there are quite a lot of old doorways around. I think you're right - they're probably wood shavings rather than eggs. I haven't noticed any rustling or anything like that! I will contact my landlord.

It looks more like chewed up wood than eggs. I'd get in a pest control person to have a look.

For now sweep them up, put something like plastic down under the rotten wood so whatever it is will drop onto that.
