Menstruation: Blood Clot - help

I usually have the exact same type of period every month. 2 and a half days every month. Heavier flow on the middle day

I’m on day 2 and had to empty my moon cup after 2 hours, twice, it was completely full and leaking at that point.

But I noticed I’ve passed two huge clots - One was the size of my palm. It’s really freaking me out. Had bad back ache for a couple of days too

Could this be something serious? I’m feeling really anxious about it

If it isn't normal for you, it's worth getting help. Maybe give 111 a call? Some people pass massive clots because they're going into menopause (I did) but that isn't usually out of nowhere.

I hope it turns out to be a big fat nothing.

Could you have had an early miscarriage? For some women passing clots is normal. Sometimes they can be a sign of polyps or fibroids, which aren't serious, but bothersome. I wouldn't worry.

I regularly pass clots the size of my palm so that would be normal for me.

If unusual for you it may be worth mentioning to your GP

I found since using one big clots are normal.

No Covid vaccine.

I was using the moon cup about a year ago for a few months and then went back to tampons
