Theme park refund?

Went to a local theme park yesterday for DS's birthday. Cost over £100 for the family of five. Weather was atrocious and half the attractions (including practically all those suitable for DS) closed due to thunder and intense rain. Asked at the park for the option to come back another day or for at least a partial refund. Got refused and told to email in - which I have done, but no reply. AIBU to expect they at least reissue the tickets for a day when we can get to use the attractions that we have paid for?

Obviously we buy food, drink etc while in the park so surely it's not a complete loss for them to have us back another day.
It probably is at the moment. Most places are prebooked only and limited numbers still. If you go with your free ticket, thats a paid customer not going.

Thorpe park refunded us when they closed due to thunder and lightning. We’d only been on one ride. They were giving tickets at the door for you to use a different time within 3 months but I live 4 hours away so we queued and they refunded it. Do they have the policy online?

Yes, I would expect a refund/replacement ticket under these circumstances, whether you'll get it or not is another story. I don't know if theme parks take adverse weather insurance or if they factor in the costs in the price of the tickets, but I think it's immoral to charge for a service you can no longer provide.

If my train doesn't run because of bad weather, that's fair enough, but I expect to be refunded or for my ticket to be valid on a different train. This is no different.

If it's the Gullivers near me, yesterday wasn't just normal rain, it was full on thunder, lightening and torrential rain all day. It would be impossible to operate a park in those conditions.
I think they should refund you.

If you paid with a card do a charge back

Totally not what this is for.

we are staying down Tenby for a few days so as a surprise I have booked Oakwood for the kids. I have booked for the week after 😞 will they let us change the date? Reading their policy online it doesn’t seem hopeful
