To think you don't attend appointments if you are isolating?

Do people not give a shit anymore about others. Teen has gone off to an appointment today despite us all isolating as one of us has symptoms and is awaiting PCR results. Teen's dad's gf is CEV and he's going to stay with him and he's the prat that has taken ds to the appointment despite isolating. It's like the pandemic doesn't exist in their world.

I hope you phoned wherever teens appointment was and pre warned them so they could send teen away. If not, why not?

I had an idiot attend for a BP& BMI check for a pill review last week despite the fact she should have been isolating. She had gone to her MIL’s birthday lunch & MIL had later that day become ill and then actually tested positive. Disgusted that someone would put me and my family at risk, not to mention any vulnerable patients in the waiting room. Angry

Yes, I did. Reception checked with the dr at the appointment didn't he think ds needed to isolate. Or so I'm told by ds. Twats.

There was a thread on here recently about someone needing to isolate and her son had SN and needed his appointment. I thought the consensus on here was still to attend. Obviously not if you've actually got covid.

You can go to 'essential' medical appointments though . I have to do home visits to households isolating and I'm often not convinced they're essential but as long as I'm in Ppe my boss tells me it's fine 🙄

Well we have to act as if our patients have covid if isolating etc and wear the same ppe we would if they were positive - also bear in mind there will be people in hospitals etc for a variety of reasons who are covid positive with other health needs
