What’s going on with the Covid app ? New rules for all?

So my daughter got pinged today .Appears it may have been a potential contact last Thursday. she has been pinged a couple of times before. Then the app told her to isolate for a certain number of days . This time it said she “may have been in contact “ no isolation required , but invited to get it tests which she has done.
She is not a key worker nor the PrimeMinister or Chancellor.

I thought changes were coming on August 16 ? Not yet? Or has this always been a message you can get ?

That might be related to a check in rather than a Bluetooth contact

Check ins are different as they're just based on being at the venue at roughly the same time/date.

Yes that's the check in notification. If you check into a venue it doesn't mean you were anywhere near the person who has it.
