To think I shouldn't be sweating so much?

Lying in bed literally dripping in sweat, drenched in sweat. Checked the temperature and it's dropped down to 20 degrees, surely this isn't normal that I'm still sweating as much as if not more than when it was 28 degrees this afternoon?

Is anyone else hot? Like roasting hot?

Roasting hot.
I don't usually sweat a lot but this is close humid heat, my whole body is melting and covered in a layer of sweat, even after a cool bath. Am just putting the fan on again.

I've been woken each night to teenagers showering in the early hours of morning after cold showering at tea time these past few days! Usually have to remind some of the smellier ones!! 🤣

It's a different kind of ' hot' at the moment.

Could peri-menopause be at play?

MrsTerryPratchett · 23/07/2021 01:42

Sweating is good. It sweating when it's hot is bad.

It's probably humidity. Make sure you drink enough water.

MrsTerryPratchett · 23/07/2021 01:43

Not sweating FFS. I'm a typo machine today.

rosalie11 · 23/07/2021 04:45

I’m the same

MistyGreenAndBlue · 23/07/2021 09:20

I was the same last night. Weather app said 20° thermometer said 27° and I felt really awful so I believed the thermometer

It was brutal. There was definitely something different about the heat last night.

@Aquamarine1029

I'm 29 so I hope not 😅😂

Houses can stay very warm if the heat hasn't escaped. I've been struggling more with evenings than during the day. It seems to hit me at bedtime. My bedroom gets really hot. Have a cool shower 😊

SchrodingersImmigrant · 23/07/2021 21:16

I sweat so much. Like 24+ degrees, I don't even bother with make up because it just goes awaaaaaay in a bit.
My DH laughs at me sometimes. I iced my face a bit to cool down and stop sweatstache for half an hour or so. It lasted exactly 3 minutes🙄
It's cooling down now, have cold ish shower to help your body catch up with lowering temp 😁

SchrodingersImmigrant · 23/07/2021 21:17

Btw since it's now colder outside than inside, I set my fan on windowsill to bring the cold air in. It works!

Farevalah · 23/07/2021 21:21

I've been pouring with sweat. Like dripping down my face 😰 I'm 47 and menopausal though. Only things that help are frequent cool showers, drinking lots of iced water, magicool spray and a fan when I'm outside (the old fashioned folding fans.)

shouldistop · 23/07/2021 21:22

Do you mean it's 20 in your room or 20 outside?

WorraLiberty · 23/07/2021 21:24

I started this thread the other day about the wonder of neck fans - £20 from Amazon.

They're amazing and no, it's not me who's selling them Grin

I can't be without mine now.

Outside

Heat can build in your house during the day though so even if it's dropped outside depending on your house it could be 30 degrees in your bedroom

SchrodingersImmigrant · 23/07/2021 21:54

How i saved my sweaty butt 😁

To think I shouldn't be sweating so much?
30degreesandmeltinghere · 23/07/2021 22:10

Risky question but are you a bit overweight? I have piled a bit(2 stone) on these past 2 years and suffer in the heat when I never did.
Shower about 3 times a day now!! Oh the relief!

Fredrica47346 · 23/07/2021 22:52

I am about 2 stone overweight and peri-menopausal and I have really suffered with the heat. I can't recall sweating this much in the past.
