First proper day of annual leave in almost a year... I've had to take some holiday as I have so many days to take. Started a new job and got more holiday days pro rata then I thought I would..went from one job straight into another..
WIBU to do absolutely NOTHING.....
I have some jobs to do in the house and my garden needs weeding and mowing... But I can't actually remember the last time I did absolutely nothing and was child free as DD is still going to nursery....
Part of me wants to get back in bed and go back to sleep after dropping her off but another part feels like its a waste of a day of leave..

Leave is to do whatever you wish with or whatever you need it for. That can be taking a day off to travel to a wedding. It can be going to the seaside. Or going to boozy brunch with your friend. Or because you need to deep clean the house before someone comes over. Or because you need childcare. Or it can be for watching Netflix all day and reading in bed. Or sleeping.

Oh how lovely @Pebbledashery! I think in your shoes I'd have a lovely "me" day at home - and not tell anyone I was at home!

Put your phone on "do not disturb" (but set it so, eg the nursery can contact you about DD, if necessary). Have a lovely long shower, wash and condition hair, maybe face mask? Then treat yourself a leisurely breakfast of your choice, sit in the garden reading, feet up with a coffee. Don't engage in social chit chat (unless you really want this). If you're on the front room and you have plantation or Venetian blinds slant them so you get light in but nobody can see you...

Can you tell I've done this before? 🌹

Sit in the garden, read a book with wine and snacks and pretend you're on an all inclusive holiday in the sun.

It's the closest you'll get to that sort of thing without worrying about amber and green lists, testing and quarantine any time this year.

Loving some of these ideas 😍

Nope not unreasonable. My daughter goes to her dads this weekend and my plan is to do nothing the full weekend, can't wait.
