Sorry not really aibu but….
Has anybody been to Thorpe Park recently? Are they letting the same amount of people in or is it reduced due to social distancing? I am due to go on Sat but am a bit worried about long queues and large crowds of people.
Thanks

There's going to be long lines and crowds - there always is at somewhere like Thorpe park.

Why dont you call them and ask?

We went over the may half term. It was really busy. They say they are reducing numbers, but it really didn’t seem that way. 90 mins roughly to queue for rides. We still had a great time though.

My tip would be to arrive early. We arrived at about 10.10 and had to queue for 45 mins just to get it as they were temperature checking everyone, though they may not be doing this now.

I was there a couple of weeks ago on a Sunday, it was busy. I don't know about reduced numbers. We had VIP passes but the regular queues were 60-ish minutes or more for the 'big five' rides.

Staff are trying very hard but many customers aren't bothering to observe social distancing or anything else really. No social distancing in queues etc, although you are outside I suppose. They did take temperatures on the way into the park.

You had to wear masks on all the rides when I went but that was pre 19th so it might be different now.

The staff were doing visible wipe-downs of some of the rides/equipment in-between people going on them.

I have to say, the staff there were brilliant and trying really hard.

Thanks
We went to Chessington this time last year and due to them reducing numbers it was wasn’t busy at all. We had a great day, the most we queued was probably 20 mins - I’m kinda hoping Thorpe park might be the same….

Almost certainly not, I'm afraid. Gird yourself...

It should still be good though. Nemesis Inferno almost broke me Grin

No chance. We went two weeks ago and it was rammed and no queue was below 40 mins. Worst merlin park of them all for lack of distancing etc.. and now you don’t have to it’ll be worse

Went a couple of days ago. Amazing number of people in there and looong queues. (Pretty much all 1 hour +) Wouldn't choose to go without shelling out for fast track I think.
