Sorry for aibu - posting for traffic. Flying from Spain to Edinburgh. I live in NE England. Do I follow rules for Scotland ie 2 day pcr test booked through CTM booking portal or do I follow rules for England and can book a private test? Anyone in this situation recently? Any advice appreciated thanks! (Double vaccinated adults and DS who's 6.)

Will you not need to show proof of booking day to test as part of passenger locator form / boarding plane in Spain etc?

I would have thought it might well be checked as part of the boarding process along with negative pcr etc.

Yes I will have to put info on the passenger locator form but I don't know which rules to follow- Scotland or England as they're different. Do I follow Scotland because I'm flying into a Scottish airport, or England because I live there?

I would say English rules as that's where you will be travelling to. I am in the opposite position, flying from England and live in Wales, so have to follow Welsh rules as far as I can see.

that's what I thought but its very difficult to get a definitive answer! @hellswelshy have you booked through the Welsh government site for your day 2 pcr?

Not yet but not flying for another week and a half so will make sure I do it before I go. The tests should then arrive by the time we get back!

@hellswelshy good luck!
