Good campsites in Bournemouth?

We are looking at camping for a few nights. Would only need a grass pitch. Would like to be near some nice things to do with kids aged 9 12 and 13. We love Bournemouth beach so a bonus if we aren’t too far from the beach. Thanks.

There are no campsites in actual Bournemouth ! You need to go out towards Christchurch, Ringwwod, Wimborne, or further afield west towards Weymouth, Swanage (which is gorgeous countryside)
(i live there, the traffic at the moment is horrendous btw) 😞

Huntick farm campsite is fairly near to Bournemouth (8 miles) that’s the nearest one I can see
Plus you are really near Poole there so you have the canford cliffs/sandbanks beaches and Studland beach on the ferry from Sandbanks (which is a lovely beach better than Bournemouth)

Avon tyrell near Bransgore is nice and only about 10 min drive to beaches st Mudeford (just outside Bournemouth). Lots of outdoor activities and an outside pool. Npt at all like a holiday park.Also on the edge of the new forest

Hope you have a lovely stay OP, I went to beach today it’s absolutely Mediterranean here, atm (towards Weymouth) as the sea is clear for snorkelling on the stony beaches over there
If you are In The vicinity of Poole there is a new Greek restaurant called ‘anemos’ recently opened on the quay at Poole
