to invite/not invite someone to my 50th

There are two couples I was very friendly with years ago. We all drifted apart - although I think they have stayed in touch more with each other. Over the last few years I have tried to make arrangements with them and have felt rather fobbed off so we've never met up. It wasn't a falling out, more geography. I'm having a post-lockdown 50th party and I would like to see them all. But I would also like to invite (test!) them just to see if they fob me off again!

Be prepared for them to not RSVP or accept and not turn up.

Or ... turn up and it'll be like old times WineCake

I think all you can do is invite them, if they don't show you can draw a line under it and not bother with them again.

Are you limited on numbers then?
