To take the pasty back?

Sent dh to get pasties 10 mins up the road. And the pastry is completely dried out and hard as is the inside. He thinks I'm being rediculous and should just eat it or have something else. Pasties aren't exactly cheap, £3 for a rock hard dried out pasty is not on. We never complain when we go out even if a meal is not great, we are always too nice and polite but today is really taking the pasty (excuse the pun). Are you confident to compain when you aren't happy or do you just take the hit?

A bit late now but at the time yea I would of , it has probably been sat in the warmer for to long.

Years ago I bought a cheese and onion pasty from Greg's I went to eat it in the park across the road but the cheese was rock solid and dry so I took it back , they were a bit flummoxed as to what went wrong but gave me two more and can of tango for free

£3 for a, pastie😲

MissMissTorrance · 18/07/2021 17:23

I'd personally take the hit but never buy them again.

Chunkymenrock · 18/07/2021 17:31

I would have definitely taken it back. Sounds vile.

NoBetterthanSheShouldBe · 18/07/2021 17:38

It sounds like a yesterday’s pasty warmed up. It’s not acceptable to sell those as fresh and I would take it back explaining why.

We used to sell warm-ups half price, when I was in that trade.

TwoLeftSocksWithHoles · 18/07/2021 17:40

I would complain. It sounds like it may have been reheated - which is illegal to do.

First offence : forced to eat said pasty,

Second Offence : transported to Australia (as soon as Covid is sorted out)

Well I took it back and got another. No apology though bloody rude! I actually thought it was a steak pasty when I cut into it. normally have veg but it was a vegan pasty the veg was obviously that dried out it looked brown!! Gross.

If I buy something and there is something badly wrong with it I always take it back.

I don't give my money away and I'm time rich!
