I'm noticing so many of these in my feed lately.

"Replace a word in this film title with the last thing you ate"

"Name three things you'd save in a house fire"

"My grandma made the best _"

What's the crack? Are they just posts that get lots of replies and hence start trending, or is it like LinkedIn where people do this to raise their profile?

Yeah they're just what some people do to pass the time. Sometimes there are funny answers...

I do sometimes have a quick peek, but if there are millions of replies I don't usually bother to really as it just gets lost in the ether.

Some are designed to harvest information to help hackers.

Don't know how that works, because I change all my passwords daily to whatever I've had for breakfast that morning...
