had my baby just under 4 months ago. dtd for the first time since about 10 days ago. have been on the mini pill but missed a few that week and stupidly thought it wouldn’t matter as i’m breastfeeding and thought that was a good enough backup.

felt really dizzy and sick today exactly like how i did with dd, my first positive test with her was 9dpo so i thought might as well test just in case. i have twice and both very faint positives Sad

they’re the freedom tests from tesco and looking at their reviews apparently they’re awful for having false positives so i’m not sure if they’re just another dodgy batch but i’m so worried that they’re actually right. i love my baby and don’t want her to feel like i’m replacing her if i have another baby so soon. also worried medically with it being so soon after my last section.

stupid of me, i know. has anyone been pregnant this soon after a section? going to retest on monday but i’m silently freaking out and can barely look at my partner

I haven’t, but my ex’s SIL had one baby, 3 months later got pregnant after her c-section, then after she had her second child, she got pregnant 3/4 months after her second c-section. She genuinely kept getting pregnant so she’d eventually have a girl. She told me this. (which she did. Eldest 2 are boys, youngest is a girl).

I think she has managed okay, but she was doing it on purpose. You weren’t doing it on purpose, so try not to feel too bad about it.

My mum had 2 c sections 13 months apart. She always said her last section was the easiest of the 3.

I don't have personal experience of this but my cousin got pregnant after a c section when her baby was only about 8 weeks old. I think she had to have some extra check ups and spent some time in hospital towards the end of the second pregnancy because she had awful pain in the scar. But it all worked out fine in the end. Her 2 boys are very close now and are best friends.

My last 2 were 17 months apart so a bit more of a gap but still quite close. Was fine. Plenty of people get pregnant quickly again so try not to worry too much Flowers

I had s c-section last year and my next baby is due this week, so that means I got pregnant again 6-months later.

At first, I was very shocked but now I’m excited. I’ve had nine months to get my first DS to sleep/routine better and it doesn’t seem so daunting as it did initially. I can’t wait for him to have someone to play with, and I know SO many people who have babies very close in age and all day how lovely it is to have given them siblings.

In terms of the health implications, I have found this pregnancy a lot harder, but I have been a lot less mobile as I had big exams/lockdown etc. I’ve been under the care of a consultant, and they are still happy for me to try for a VBAC or an ELCS and they haven’t said it’s ‘dangerous’ or anything. Happens all the time.

At first it’s a shock, but it will be so lovely having them close together. The greatest gift you can give your first DCbis a sibling and friend for life. Congratulations! ❤️

Neither of these is a problem.
Had c sections in a row - 13 months apart, no issue. First child is oblivious to the fact another is on the way.

My SIL had a baby by emergency section Feb 2020 and then another in Jan 2021! All was absolutely fine and although its been hard work she's saying that already the older one is keeping the younger one entertained!

Mine are 16m apart, had one EMCS and one ELCS. Second section recovery was a dream compared to the first. I wouldn’t worry.
