Aibu to wonder how everyone is spending this hot weekend?

I'm 38 weeks pregnant so I'm hiding away in the house trying to stay cool.
Did some food shopping this morning and the traffic to get back home was horrendous, I live in Cornwall, so I definitely didn't want to be out in the heat any longer

Not that hot in the north of Scotland, a bit muggy but it's dry. So having a BBQ and spent some time in the garden. Then just chilling out tomorrow and packing for our UK honeymoon

Have a two week old baby and appear to be doing some weird post natal nesting

@THATbasicSNOWFLAKE I wish she would turn up already but she seems very happy to stay where she is.
My parents are visiting on Monday and I had been trying to get the house a bit more organised/clean but tbh, I'm too knackered. x

Nothing planned, will enjoy the garden too.

27 here. Lovely day so far playing with children in the paddling pool, a quick trip to the supermarket to get a very small shop, did some more painting of my office, cleaned the kitchen properly and had a lovely lunch in the garden. Watching a film now as it’s too hot outside.
Downside is we live in a coastal town so we don’t attempt to go too far from home; roads to the beach have been rammed since 7am

26 degrees here. Been to the zoo this morning & on way home have stopped off for ice cream.
Will get the paddling pool out tomorrow.

No plans at all.
Went to the park this morning, watched a bit of Netflix, and now I'm about to do some DIY + cleaning whilst listening to a true crime podcast.
Then I'll cook for a few days worth of food, and will watch a bit of Netflix again and then read in bed.
Tomorrow I will go and read in the park.

We're by the beach so have avoided it on purpose social media tells me it is absolutely heaving.

I've been in the garden all day - sunbathing, reading, messing about online and sleeping. Have a cold beer open and we're getting fish and chips for tea :)

Got a bit of a sore throat and feeling tired . Hoping this isn't the start of something ...
Mainly staying indoors on the sofa next to my beloved fan, as it's far too hot in the garden here

Self isolating

So far we’ve just tidied the house up and lounged about but I’m taking DS swimming soon and we’ll take the dog to the beach this evening.

Been to Big Pit this morning, lovely day out even though you can't go underground yet.

Now sat in my DF's garden while DD.playa in the paddling pool.

BBQ later.

Tomorrow, a dip in the sea I think.

Nice long bike ride this morning with BFF and her husband including a cafe stop then dragging 2 teenagers up and over Nicky Nook. Chilling now before doing burgers on the cadac for tea later. A perfect day.

Hiding in the living room with a fan and the curtains shut.

I have a heart condition that's exacerbated by the heat and I'm 22 weeks pregnant so don't want to have a cardiac episode as we've been informed our hospital is currently full 🤷🏻‍♀️

Packing for a few days away, and then I will be getting ready for dinner out with friends we haven't seen since the pandemic began. Bliss.

Just off to sit in the garden, now it is a tad cooler.

Went to a car boot early morning - then coffee at a cafe with outdoor seating - lunch in garden by pond
Grabbed a few salad bits from local supermarket to go with a bbq tonight
Currently sat in shade doing a jigsaw n mumsnetting whilst DP snoozes

28 here now. Did online Pilates class first thing, last one before summer holidays. Had fan on full blast, majorly sweaty! Then took my wheely bag down to the high street to pick up a few bits we needed before it got too hot. Got too hot in any case so had a cool shower when I got home, very welcome.

This afternoon I've been hiding in the living room, fan on and curtains closed, I'm making some shorts for DD (12). I'll sit out in the garden later as the sun will have moved over the house.

health condition exacerbated by heat, so glad that the place is relatively cool.

Washed sheets and hung them over curtain rails to help.

No cooking. Tidying and decluttering ongoing so place more habitable and nicer to be in generally.

Lounging about in damp muslins to keep newborn cool. I will be watching the F1 shortly. Too hot for me at 26!

Been actively sunbathing since 11am and will continue till we start a barbecue around 7pm.

I spend a lot of time in the garden in shorts and a vest top so I have a good tan on my arms, chest, shoulders and the front of my legs. Today has been a concerted effort to get the rest of my body with some colour.
