That just will not come off the end of the wand when you've finished using them!!!! Drives me insane. Why can't they be clickable with release tabs like everything else????
I've resorted to smearing vaseline on the end of the wand so that I can twist attachments off.

That whole vacuum cleaner is an arsehole.

Another MN recommendation that turned out bad.

I sold it to my friend after a couple of months and bought another Miele.

MittensOnKittens03 · 16/07/2021 21:59

So glad it’s not just me Smile so happy with it apart from when I have to use attachments

sillybut · 16/07/2021 22:03

Certainly won't be buying another!

Does anyone else find it blocks - almost constantly however carefully you wish the filters.

Big waste of money

Lookdeepintotheparka · 16/07/2021 22:08

I love mine!

Know what you mean about the attachments tho Grin

Yup. I have a cordless shark. It blocks up at the drop of a hat, and cuts out for absolutely no bloody reason. I've never managed to vac the whole house in one go. Just to add insult to injury, when you switch it off it dumps a little pile of crap all over the floor.
joystir59 · 16/07/2021 22:13

Mine is a plug in and I'm very pleased with it apart from the business with the attachments.

Planty13 · 16/07/2021 22:14

Never had an issue personally.

beela · 16/07/2021 22:17

Never had that issue with mine either. My only complaint is that it fills up really quickly, I feel like I am constantly emptying it.

DimplesToadfoot · 16/07/2021 23:10

I love mine, I’ve never had a problem with the attachments either.

dustybluebell · 16/07/2021 23:18

@DidgeDoolittle Grin
I feel cheated with mine. Friends that own one rave about theirs. I hate mine too. Will not buy another.

MyGrassIsBrowner · 16/07/2021 23:48

I absolutely love mine and dont have these issues with the attachments. I honestly believe the newer models are a load of crap. I've got the Shark Powered lift away corded. The suction on it is unreal!

joystir59 · 16/07/2021 23:56

Mine is a powered lift away. Just the attachments are hard to get off! I agree the suction is great.

MyGrassIsBrowner · 16/07/2021 23:57

@joystir59 I say this in the least patronising way but I find I have to twist and pull to get the attachments off usually, though I'm guessing you've probably exhausted that method lol!

wanttomarryamillionaire · 17/07/2021 00:08

Horrible vacuum cleaner! Gave mine away and went back to Henry.

joystir59 · 17/07/2021 00:08

@MyGrassIsBrowner
I twisted and pulled for England. In the end I wedged a flat headed screwdriver down the side of the offending attachment and used a gentle lever action.

MyGrassIsBrowner · 17/07/2021 00:11

@joystir59 oh jesus they really dont wanna play ball do they 😆 I think I'll cry the day mine breaks down on me, I use it pretty much daily!

daisycottage · 17/07/2021 00:16

Mine fights back at me all the time. I don't really rate them.

Yes a lot, turns out it was blocked all the way up the tube, from bottom to top. Now I’ve got that out it seems to work better
MrsToothyBitch · 17/07/2021 01:11

I'm not sold on the Shark. DM got a cordless one- upgraded from a g-tech. It cleans pretty well but I dislike remembering to change the floor setting and folding it over. All the attachments also need a firm hand to remove. I am waiting for it to attack somehow. Nip and trap my fingers, I reckon.

DP & I have both taken it for a twirl. We liked the clean but were both surprised at the weight of the bloody thing compared to the g-techs we kindly inherited from her.
