Neighbour playing loud music

Not so much AIBU but I need Mumsnet wisdom.

Love in reasonably quiet cul de sac. Noise is usually from kids playing. Bit of socialising but nothing excessive.
One of neighbours ( not sure how relevant, no kids, aged late 40s, married, wife doesn't appear too keen on him based on a few visits from police and a few rows we hear from time to time) has taken to playing very loud rave type music. A lot.
He also Revs his motorbike through day and evenings. Just sat on his driveway revving.

He's 100% not worth going to speak to as I'm reliably informed (and witnessed first hand) that he can be aggro. At the moment we have no issues from him apart from the noise. I'd like to keep it that way.

Houses are all privately owned so no landlord or housing association to moan to.

Currently sitting in garden and can't evening hear my husband talking over the noise. What's worse is he has the same 5 tracks on repeat!! It's like rave version of debenhams store music. Over and over arghhhh

So, wise Mumsnetters, how can I deal with this and minimise confrontation.
