To think this is shitty management

All the part timers in our department have been allowed to have Fridays off work - if I was PT too then I would of course want this day off too so I don’t blame them. I blame management for allowing this.

It leaves us very low on headcount and if a full timer is off (3 are allowed) then we really struggle and management just ignore the issue.

Nah Monday is the best day off work. Fact.

I agree it is not good management.

As someone who is not full time and has Monday off.

TomForddr · 13/07/2021 20:39

Majority have Monday off too. But they all have Fridays off.

It's got to be dependent on your industry.
In my line of work Saturday and Fridays are the busiest days and work would prefer staff to not miss these days.
If in your workplace Mondays are busiest, for example, then it doesn't really matter if they have less staff there on a Friday. So if you really wanted the day off you would have the option of requesting it off or going PT.

The level of incoming work would remain consistent each day of that week.

Could be a slow week or a week with high demand but that doesn’t change day to day.
