Perimenopause can last many years with various symptoms coming and going so there are various options depending upon what symptoms you’re experiencing. Then you may need to try different options when the symptoms change. For myself, I started with mirena coil for my first symptoms. GP prescribed melatonin when sleep became an issue (I was adverse to sleeping pills). Collagen and yoga helped for a while for joint pain. I now have oestrogen patches for more recent symptoms.

I'm very interested in this thread as I believe I'm perimenopausal too. I haven't had a period since April last one before that was December. Sleep is practically non existent so I've started taking Nytol with sum success. I've recently started night sweats, when I say night I don't mean in bed it can happen any time from the evening onwards to the point the back of my hair is damp. I currently take vitamin C,D and folic acid. I haven't done any research as yet on hrt but I'm not entirely sure I want to take it.

If there's anyone ( and I'm sure there is) has treated their symptoms naturally, any words of wisdom will be gratefully accepted 😉

There is a Menopause section on MN. Best to check it out as you should get lots of advice and tips from those in the know.
