Samsung watch

I am looking at buying a Samsung fitness watch thing. There's one on amazon for £125.45 a Samsung galaxy active 40ml.

I don't want to spend a fortune as not all that active. Just trying to lose some lockdown pounds and have an S21 so Samsung seemed the obvious choice.

Does anyone recommend? Or have a better option around the same price point or cheaper?

Sorry it is in abiu, I couldn't fund chat on my app

I've got a Samsung s21 and it's paired with my fitbit charge 3...which I think was under 100 on amazon. Works perfectly..

I've got the Galaxy Active watch, it's really good. And paired easily with my Samsung S20.

I prefer my Fitbit for fitness over my Samsung galaxy watch. The watch is more a smart watch than a fitness one. It doesn't track movement as well in my opinion.

I love my active watch as I can read any texts/FB messages that come through when I am on the move.

I have the Galaxy watch but the only thing I dont like about it is that the battery doesnt last anywhere near as ling as advertised, I have to charge it every day. I had a fitbit which had much better battery life but it wasnt as fancy, no messages etc.

Ah, so an active watch just tracks movement etc and a smart watch shows you message. Thank you all, I somehow did not know this.

Though this further complicates my decision. I'm not overly bothered by total accuracy the aim is to just move more. I can't decide if the messages would be useful.

My phone counts steps etc when I go running with a friend and her iPhone does always counts less steps/calories. I say running, more like jogging Grin

I think I prefer the round face of the samsung to the fitbit though. Arghh decisions

My fitbit notifies me about texts and calls...battery lasts for around five days.
