If no one else bids, do you get the item for the original price. Bids were to start at £2 and I bid £4.20 and it’s saying that my bid at £2 won.
I was the only bidder. I still thought I’d have to pay £4.20 for the item, not £2? I only put in one bid of £4.20.
Can anyone help? Thanks

You probably put a bid ‘up to’ which means that you don’t have to keep watching in case someone else bids. If no one else bids you still get for the minimum price.

Yes you pay £2. That’s your starting bid. You were willing to go up to £4.20, but no one else bid so it’s yours for £2.

Bidding is automatic. If no one else bids you will just pay £2 (plus postage).

You will only pay £2, £4.20 was your maximum bid so if someone else had bid say £2.50 it would have raised your bid automatically

Thanks, I didn’t know this. I thought I’d still pay my bid. Much appreciated

Yeah you pay the starting bid, or the bid that the second highest bidder put, if it was lower than your bid.
