I can never ever seem to find a rich tasty olive oil like those in restaurants! I've tried quite a variety any idea?

M&S do a good one in a can.

Very niche but there’s a couple local to me who have starting importing the most delicious single-estate Cretan olive oil. Pricey but delicious, I often just eat it as is with sourdough. Called Citizens of Soil, and they deliver.

Essential thank you.

Re m and s will also try that.

I like Tesco Finest Kalamata , or Sainsbury’s Tuscan . Both fruity.

Those really expensive ones on the top olive oil shelf in Waitrose.

Has to be single estate, small producer and about £12 per 500ml.

Otherwise it is just ok drizzling and dressing oil.

I like Castillo el Canena.

Greek olive oils are delicious although quite pricey. I like the Tesco organic extra Virgin olive oil, it has a full flavour and I use it in salads and for cooking.

HundredMilesAnHour · 11/07/2021 14:55

I have a subscription for olive oil from these guys:

twofieldszakros.com/

Also highly recommend by my local East London hipster cafe and they KNOW good quality produce.

Watching with interest, I want to find a good olive oil for salads.

I received a bottle of Bio Orto Grand Cru olive oil as a Christmas gift - it is SO good. V expensive though, so I’m hoping I get another bottle this year!

Rainallnight · 11/07/2021 14:55

Brindisa olive oil is delicious

Fozzleyplum · 11/07/2021 14:58

I buy this online. It is delicious.

Yes, I use Tesco EV for salads and cooking, but I wouldn’t love it served up in a little bowl with another if good balsamic to dip excellent bread into as a starter/ nibble in its own right.
