To go to the doctors about having periods every three months

I’m only 25 so I assume it’s not menopause related. My last period was the 16th March and I’ve still not had one. The one before that 27th November.

Why on earth would you be unreasonable? Of course you should go to the doctor... and if they fob you off, go to another doctor until you get taken seriously

Is this a new thing, I always had an extremely irregular cycle, if its new then obviously get it checked out.

TestingTestingWonTooFree · 11/07/2021 13:38

Did they used to be like that or has there been a change? I never consulted the doctor about irregular and infrequent periods until I wanted to get pregnant.

Are you underweight?

Skybluepinkgiraffe · 11/07/2021 13:41

Yes, if you were my daughter I'd encourage you to go. Are you on a hormone contraception?
Look up Davina McCall's excellent documentary on the Menopause. It was on channel 4 and I watched it on catch up.
Chances are it's not menopause, but it's possible that it could be early peri.
I maintain it's essential viewing for all women regardless of age.

I did and she said nothing to worry about at all. I asked if it was an indication of low fertility and she said no. Since then I've gotten pregnant the 1st month of trying for each of my 3 babies. And bizarrely after my first my cycle got a lot more normal length. So I'd say go to the docs if you're worried but I'd just enjoy having rare periods!
