To love my dog more than my children (lighthearted)

I’m kind of joking but really the dog is so much nicer to be around (DC are teens and have MH issues so are very hard work). Always pleased to see me. Eats dinner with no complaints. Just happy to be in my company without endless demands.

Came home from work this morning to the house a tip, a chorus of loud complaints and wants. I turned around, popped the dog in the car and took her to pets at home. We’ve had a nice little saunter round, she’s chosen a new toy and is now happily chewing her new bone on my lap whilst I mumsnet in the car park. And she’s just happy to be in my company. We will go home soon, I’m just enjoying the piece and niceness for a bit longer.

But it isn’t just me, is it? Dogs just seem so much easier to love!

My ddogs are so much better behaved than the dc.. Don't make as much mess and give many more kisses!
And apart from one they don't backchat...

Dogs are the best. I’m maternal only to my dog (I don’t have human children).

Dogs are the best! Cute, cuddly, happy bundles of love that forgive you every day for leaving the house, eat well and bring so much joy.

DS and DH are alright. Wink
