Recent tests showed I'm slightly out of range on all the cholesterol related blood tests. I'm 51. It's not my lifestyle - I'm a very careful eater, I exercise regularly, I'm a good weight etc. It's genetic, I guess - my dad has it.
The surgery has just texted to say I need to call a nurse in the next two weeks, rather than speak to a doctor - so i'm assuming they're not going to suggest statins.
But when does one decide to take statins? I really don't want to - and should I go and see a consultant or something?
Just seeing what people have done.
