Posting here for traffic!

My DS's class tutor is moving to Sweden and the class have collected money as a leaving present, which I'd like to convert into vouchers for a Swedish shop - the class have suggested 'the equivalent of John Lewis'.....would that be NK? I'm not sure if he's going to be in Stockholm or somewhere else....all suggestions gratefully received!!

IKEA vouchers?

Bubblespider · 06/07/2021 17:05

NK is only in Stockholm. There isn't really a John Lewis equivalent, but Ã…hlens is a large department store with many branches, also Cervera for home stuff.

Panicmode1 · 06/07/2021 17:10

Thanks @Bubblespider - that is helpful. I am trying to find out more about where he is going to be - from memory NK (if he's in Stockholm) has a food hall as well?

@HOkieCOkie - I guess it may have to be if he's going to be in Östersund or somewhere a bit more remote....

Yes, food and lovely restaurants:)

Bubblespider · 06/07/2021 17:16

Yes, it'll be a lot easier if you can find out where he's moving too.

Bubblespider · 06/07/2021 17:16

to!

Luxplus · 06/07/2021 17:16

Live in Denmark but would also suggest Ã…hlens

Panicmode1 · 06/07/2021 17:24

Thanks so much - am going to a school event later so hoping to find out a bit more (without giving anythign away!)

Really appreciate the help.

NK is very high end and only in Stockholm.

LittleSwede · 06/07/2021 17:28

Another vote for Ã…hlens, they have loads of stores and sell all kinds of stuff.

Lagomtransplant · 06/07/2021 17:28

Second NK. I'm a Swedish expat, though.

Tanaqui · 06/07/2021 18:22

Don't get NK if he isn't going to be in Stockholm! Ã…hlens, IKEA, or foodora (equivalent of deliveroo) would all probably work.

Panicmode1 · 06/07/2021 20:51

Thank you all. I have confirmed he will be in Stockholm...so ow I need to see if I can purchase a gift card from the UK. Will phone them tomorrow.
