Apparently im a psychopath.

Not long managed to get the 3 week old down after 4 hours of cluster feeding, for my fap (f*ing annoying partner) to get into bed, start snoring and mouth breathing in my face. Come on.

I want sleep not someone breathing their unbrushed teeth air into my face 😡 and yes, he goes days without brushing his teeth. This is grounds to leave right? 😂
But seriously. I've had enough of the damn snoring and mouth breathing. I can't be the only one who finds it incredibly frustrating!

That is so very grim! 🤮

Imascarecrow · 06/07/2021 00:56

Mouth breathing is noisy and it smells I feel your pain

Iggi999 · 06/07/2021 00:58

How someone breathes is not really in their control, once they're asleep. Not is snoring, mostly. Strange to focus on these rather than the one thing he could absolutely control, the teeth cleaning!

Coulddowithanap · 06/07/2021 07:35

He should be brushing his teeth. Can't help the snoring and mouth breathing though.

BillyRaywasapreachersson · 06/07/2021 07:41

I'd rather lie next to a mouth breather than under one. I wouldn't have got close enough to be impregnated let alone breathed on.

YelloYelloYello · 06/07/2021 07:47

Is this not teeth brushing a new thing (ie is he depressed)? Otherwise that’s pretty grim and not someone I’d have had a baby with tbh.

Kittykat93 · 06/07/2021 10:11

Honestly someone not brushing their teeth for days would be a deal breaker for me. Absolutely disgusting.

Granohlaa · 06/07/2021 10:16

He can’t help the mouth breathing! He can brush his teeth though. That’s gross.

Ohhok · 06/07/2021 10:52

He doesn’t brush his teeth, and you still decided to procreate with him?
Too late to complain now tbf...

WorraLiberty · 06/07/2021 10:54

The breathing/snoring is beyond his control.

What's the story with his teeth? That's disgusting.

Zari29 · 06/07/2021 10:55

How do you even find him attractive, that's just gross.

TheCouncilDontHelp · 06/07/2021 10:59

The snoring might be partly his fault? If he's overweight and making zero effort to fix it? Oral posture can be worked on during the day which wi time can affect sleep posture too. Not guaranteed to work but not even trying is grim.

The not brushing teeth ... LTB territory for me 🤮

DrSbaitso · 06/07/2021 11:16

Many couples, us included, are in separate rooms at this stage of the game if it's at all possible (husband was on a camp bed downstairs as we had no spare room at the time).

Not brushing teeth is really unacceptable.

tallduckandhandsome · 06/07/2021 11:18

Could you put a sturdy pillow like a heavy memory foam one sideways between you?

DH and I only have a double bed and I do this sometimes (he does brush his teeth and had doesn't have bad breath but I still don't like someone breathing on me when I'm trying to sleep).

DrSbaitso · 06/07/2021 12:37

Could you put a sturdy pillow like a heavy memory foam one sideways between you?

Or over his head??

TheGumption · 06/07/2021 12:43

Omg how did you get close enough to make a baby with him? He sounds foul

tcjotm · 06/07/2021 12:55

Not brushing his teeth - totally grim. LTB territory.

Mouth breathing is harder. I used to always keep quiet when people complained about it because I couldn’t solely breathe out of my nose. I thought, how else am I supposed to get oxygen?? Turns out it can be due to a deviated septum and/or larger turbinates. Surgery and I’m a new person. 90% reduction in sore throats and upper respiratory infections too ( in me I mean).

But yeah, the not brushing his teeth would render him dead to me. Probably to everyone if I were looking after a 3 week old, a jury would never convict you OP.

Cheeserton · 06/07/2021 22:28

Days without brushing... Totally grim.

Having a go at someone for breathing though, totally unreasonable. Nasty, even (like the lack of brushing).

leonpride · 06/07/2021 22:36

Is the mouth breathing recent? I have to breathe through my mouth at night due to hay fever. My nose is honestly completely blocked when I lie down and i have no choice.

You really need to just bring this up as well as the brushing, which must be hard to live with

Moomala · 06/07/2021 22:39

🤢🤢 that disgusting, I would be telling him to brush his teeth or sleep on the sofa. That's one of my absolute pet hates a dirty mouth and smelly breath.
